A former Indian football player, today, Novy is one of the India’s leading sports commentators, with expertise in football, boxing and athletics to name a few! Well known in the sporting fraternity for his encyclopedic knowledge of Indian sport, he works regularly with Doordarshan, ESPN, Ten Sports, the BBC World Service and Zee Sports to name a few and has covered five world cups, two Asian Games and myriad other tournaments across the country. In his role as India’s foremost expert on football, he appears regularly on India’s leading news channels, including the NDTV network, Headlines Today, CNN-IBN, Doordarshan News and IBN 7. Most recently, he served as an expert and analyst on CNN-IBN for the 2010 World Cup, the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the Asian Games in Guangzhou as well as a commentator for the 2010 World Cup Hockey Tournament.

In addition to his expertise in sports, Novy is also an Associate Professor in the Department of English, SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi as well as the Deputy Proctor of the University of Delhi and the Deputy Chairperson of the Sports Board of the University! To his credit, despite the immense pressures of being one of India’s leading sports experts and being involved in education, Novy is also a historian and an author of 8 books, primarily Parsi novels. He has also authored over 35 research papers in reputed journals and books and has spoken at dozens of national and international literary conferencs across the country.
